On October 7th, 2018, we signed a contract to build our Outremer 51 – Hull #74. Filled with exhilaration, anticipation, trepidation, also—a little anxiety, the butterflies kind.

For years we had been on the hunt to find a boat that would suit our needs as a semi-retired, active couple who loves the responsiveness of a monohull, but prefers the stability of a catamaran.

Our estimated delivery date was July 2020…an almost two-year wait due to the growing popularity of this sturdy and beautiful blue water performance catamaran. We continually discussed, prayed, thought about, prepared and planned what our cruising adventures might look like.

We turned this wait into an opportunity to learn, grow, and travel. Join us on our cruising adventures.
